continuing my exploration of colour and shape, and getting back to softness
in this class i have been experimenting with acrylic and masking tape. i feel like i can paint with the tape, in combination with the acrylic and light the colours blend, they become immaterial. this week moving from planes of colour to dots, the effect is softer, like a wash of water colour. I like the optical illusion as the viewer moves around the object, the changing perceived density of colour, how a rigid geometric object begins to blur.
bellow some inspiration from my studio trip
